Rio's New Year Eve

Rio starts preparing New Year's Eve 2022 with a party forecast in Copacabana and ten other locations The Carioca New Year's Specifications were launched today so that companies interested in promoting the party can obtain all the details of the event. Another novelty for the arrival of 2022 is the return of fireworks to the Church of Penha. The City Hall emphasizes that New Year's Eve celebrations are conditioned to the epidemiological scenario of the pandemic in the capital. The notebooks are a guide for companies to present projects for the party. The chosen partners are responsible for the creation, project development, planning, execution and accountability. On the other hand, they will have permission to use the brand during New Year's Eve.

In this turn, there will be three exclusive spaces for wheelchair users in Copacabana. Another action on the edge of the neighborhood will be aimed at welcoming LGBTI+ people who are victims of violence and hate crimes.

According to Riotur, two tenders will still be open for the hiring of companies responsible for the rafts and fireworks.

Carnival 2022

The City Hall of the city of Rio authorized the holding of Carnival in 2022.

"The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, said this Sunday (Oct 3, 2021) that in 2022 he intends to carry out without distancing measures the Rio Carnival, which this year was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
