Shopping in Copacabana
The Copacabana neighborhood has one of the busiest street stores in Rio. It's all on Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana. Not to mention the cross streets,
like Rua Santa Clara. On Avenida Atlântica are concentrated commerce and services aimed at tourists (restaurants, bars, jewelry stores, etc.).
Ipanema Forum
Considered one of the best luxury shopping malls in the city, Forum de Ipanema is located on Rua Visconde de Pirajá, in front of Praça Nossa Senhora da Paz (where there is a
metro station of the same name.
Leblon Mall
Also considered one of the best luxury malls in the city, Shopping do Leblon is located on Rua Afrânio de Mello Franco, opposite 14a. DP Nearby is the
Jardim de Alá subway station.
BarraShopping
Also considered one of the best and largest malls in the city, BarraShopping da Alvorada is located on Avenida Américas, opposite the
BarraShopping BRT station.
Shopping in Downtown Rio
In downtown Rio there are also good options for shopping: Avenida Rio Branco, Rua do Ouvidor (once traditional), Rua Sete de Setembro and many other streets,
like the popular Rua da Carioca.
SAARA, Rua da Alfândega
The Saara is a popular street retail that operates on the streets adjacent to Rua da Alfândega and Rua Buenos Aires, in downtown Rio de Janeiro. Opens Monday to Friday
(8am to 7pm) and on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm. Uruguayan Subway.
